Music List #3

I want to Fuck You- Akon. I don't really like this song, the tune of the song annoys. akon has many other songs with more rythm, but this song didn't have what the rest of the songs did.

Whats Your Fantasy- Ludacris. This song is good for its quick beat and rapping. The lyrics are a bit disturbing, but overall a good song.
Frank Ocean- Novacane. Unlike other artist that sing songs relating sex or drug related song, Frank song "novacane" has a smooth rythm.

Jeremih- Birthday Sex. Although the music repeats its verse over and over, I like this song for the beats half way into the music.

I'm on one- Drake. Has a good beat and a an excellent co-op with many other well known artist like Rick Ross, Dk Khaled and Lil Wayne.

Music Memories #1

Like people, music changes as the years pass. At the age of 5 I remember I would mostly listen to the music my parents listened too. Both my parents love to dance Cumbia and salsa at parties, so I grew up listening to Mexican artist such as Senora Dynamita, Celia Cruz, Mickey Taveras and Joe Arroyo. Every party I went to I would always hear the same tracks playing. At age 5 I really didn’t know what songs I liked since I was young, but I slowly started liking Celia Cruz and Senora Dynamita. When I was 10 my taste of music drastically changed, which was influenced by my peers. I was listening to a large variety of music, from Spanish music to English genres. I listened to salsa, hip hop, and rap. Hip hop and rap were famous among the friends I hung out in middle school. My friends and I would listen to artist such as Eminem, Ludacris, Bow Wow, Chamillionaire, and 50 Cents.  From the artists I listened to my favorite music was “Act a Fool” by Ludacris, which was a soundtrack to one of my favorite movie “Fast and Furious”.  At age 15 I stopped listening to salsa and rap, the new music that were being made by rap and salsa artist weren’t as good as the previous years. I started listening to techno artist from Europe and Mexico. Some artist included Basshunter, DJ Tiesto, and DJ Polimarch. My favorite song was “DotA” by Basshunter, his music was always high energized. The unique style of electronic music put me in a good mode. Looking back to my childhood and teenage years my taste of music has change. Some of the changes were influenced by friends, family member and radio.

5 songs i hate

This songs are the songlest i hate

1. "Hoedown throwdown" by Hannah montana. I dislike the vioce of Hannah, it doesn't seem she has a good voice to sing country music. Sounds to childish as well.

2. "Gasolina" by Daddy Yankee. Dady yankee has grown popular with some of his recent songs, but i hate his song "gasoline" because the refrain of his song is Gasoline which means gas/petroleum in english.

3. " E.T." Katy Perry featuring Kanye West. On my 5 favorite list i have Kanye as one of my favorite artist, however his duet with Katy Perry didn't interest me. His voice doesn't complement her voice. He tries to enhance his voice electronically and i dislike when artist try to add that into thier music.

4. "Where them girls at" by David Gutta ft. Nicki Minaj. Flo Rida. These three artist individual have a talent to sing/work solo. I don't like the combination of the three artist because they each have their own style that doesn't fit with each other. David has experience with techno, Nicki is well with rapping, but Florida kills the whole piece because he also tries to add some style of techno which i doesn't think fits with david guetta.

5. "El sonidito" by Hechizeros Banda. I grew up listening to mexican music when i was younger and alot has  change over time. BUt recently the song el sonidito has ruined the mexican music. All the song does is play two-two ntoes on a paino and a few lyrics.
