Opinionator #1

In recent news, in the city of San Jose, citizens are protesting for the bad economic system in

America. Few citizens have set up tents in front of the city hall so people can see them protesting.

On one hand I agree with their actions because they are standing up for what they believe. People

voices are not reaching senators or representatives who are creating plans to create economics

systems.  On the other hand protestors are not creating a big ruckus, but they are making a mess

around the camping area. Abc news has shown videos of people who recorded homeless urinating

around the city hall instead of going to a restroom.  It’s fine for people to join forces to protest about

financial issues, but there a line that should not be crossed. One of the protestors calls himself

“Cracker” and did the outrages at city hall; he climbed up the city hall brick wall and is standing on

top of it. Hopefully the man does not fall down while he’s on top of the wall. Protesting should be

done in a formal and respectful matter. I believe the protestors who are camping at city hall are

misrepresenting this city because they are mostly homeless. People who should protest are people

who know what they are fighting for in the first place. I believe that USA senates and

representatives should have resolved some economic issues.

Memories #2

During my parents’ teenage years, they listened to several music genres. They didn’t listen to English music because they were born in Mexico. My parents grew up in different sides of Mexico; my dad lived in the main capital of Mexico, which is Mexico D.F and my mom lived in the rural life in Guadalajara, Mexico. My mom lived far away from the urban life so she was listened to Mexican Banda, Romantics, and genres. Unlike my mother, my dad was exposed to the new current music during his teenage such techno, rock, salsa, and cumbia. My dad was a little rebel in his teenagers, so he would listen to techno and rock bands that he could relate with. When my mom and dad decided to come to America there music taste changed, especially my dad. My dad enjoyed going to clubs and meeting new people. During his twenties when he went to clubs, he started liking English artist such as Marilyn Monroe, Gloria Estefan, A-HA, and Dead or Alive. Over the years their taste of music has changed, now they listen to urban Mexican Bands, Corriedos, and some English genres.
My taste of music has also changed; I used to listen to the types of music both my parents listened too. Now I listen to artist that rap, sing meaningful lyrics, and music with quick beats that want people to stand up and dance. Every time my siblings and I listen to Hip Hop or artist like Lil Wayne, My mom says “When I was little we didn’t we people that was rapping, or cursing in public. The music made by famous artist this year is horrible”. I can understand why she believes current mainstream music is horrible. She did not grow up listening to people curse in English and direct offend one another through music. My grandparents taught my mom moral values and to respect those around her.

Music list #4

Ice Cube- "It was a Good Day".. Listen to the lyrics is what most people tend to feel by the end of a day when everything goes the way people want too. Even though my day doesn't go the way i planned, i can reflect on the god things of my life.

Kid Cudi- "Pursuit of Happines" As Kid cudi sings " I'm in pursuit Of Happiness" i connect with this line because i am trying to find something that can make my life better than it is right now.

Gritz- "My Life be like" brings back good memories from my teenage years.I would listen to this song when i was having a good time skating with friends from donwtown.

Dj Tiesto-"Element of life" I'm into music that is loud and quick. The music is not only loud and quick but it has an electronic style that makes me want to get up and dance.

Bass Hunter "All I ever wanted" The beat of the music create a sense of excitement. Quick rythm and build in tension, which comes together with loud tones from a a syllabus.
